Booking a course

A booking is confirmed once BAYSIDE MMA INC. receives full payment for the selected course. You will receive confirmation by email at the address given on the contact form, along with the first class date and location.

Before your first session

First Steps students receive a short welcome call before session one. Summit Season requires an initial placement session so the course can start at the right level for you; this session is arranged directly with the lead instructor.

Rescheduling a session

If you cannot attend a scheduled class, let us know by email or phone as early as possible. Where space allows, we will move you into an equivalent session in the same course at no extra charge, rather than treating the absence as a missed class.

Missed sessions

Sessions missed without advance notice are not banked or refunded individually, since class size and materials are planned around confirmed attendance. Repeated missed sessions in a multi-week course may be addressed with a short conversation about whether the current schedule still fits.

Class conduct

Students are asked to follow instructor direction during drills, treat training partners with care, and pause or sit out any exercise that feels uncomfortable. Instructors may ask a student to modify or stop a drill where safety is a concern.

Waivers

Before your first class you will be asked to read and sign a short participation waiver describing the physical nature of the activity and confirming you are fit to take part. The waiver does not remove your rights under Ontario consumer protection law; it simply records that you understand training involves physical movement and a normal possibility of minor strain, like any movement-based class.

Instructor substitution

Occasionally a session may be led by a different qualified instructor than usual, for example due to illness or scheduling conflicts. The course content and pace stay the same regardless of which instructor is present.

Changes to a course

If we need to change a confirmed class time or location, we will notify enrolled students as early as possible and offer an equivalent alternative.
